 Jan. 12, 13, 20,27- Yurt Dinner -Dinners at the Magic Meadows Yurt are a magical experience. You’ll ski or snowshoe out to the yurt surrounded by majestic, snow-covered peaks. Nestled among the pines, the yurt welcomes you in with a roaring fire and welcoming staff. You’ll enjoy gourmet dishes prepared by private chef Tim Egelhoff and a selection of fine beverages, including wines, beers, and Montanya Rum cocktails. At the end of the evening, you’ll make your way back to the trailhead beneath a spectacular sky of stars, and maybe even a full moon. This is truly an evening never to be forgotten.

 Yurt Sunday Brunch- Jan 7,14,21,28--Welcome to the Backcountry Bistro
Everybody’s favorite Bistro returns to Magic Meadows this season, serving up organic and gluten-free pastries, treats, teas, chai, fruit and soup, plus local coffee, delicious pie and festive, refreshing libations with a warm fire, sunny deck and weekly specials.
Location: Our Magic Meadows yurt is located approximately one mile from the “gronk”, just north of Peanut Lake, on the Nordic Trail System. The trailhead is on Peanut Lake Road, with parking and trailhead signs accessing our groomed Nordic Trail System. Skis or snowshoes and trail passes are required to reach the yurt. Walking and biking are prohibited on these Nordic trails. The yurt is located on the Inner Magic Meadows Trails which are accessed by the Beaver Trail and the Peanut Lake Trail to the South, or the Pooches Paradise trail to the North. All trails are marked.
 Jan 1-5 = Cheryl Browder Pastel Exhibition - (Dec. 22 - Jan. 5)-Just us for a solo show of new works by Colorado pastel painter Cheryl Browder! In her delicate, signature style, Cheryl brings to life everything from a quiet Gunnison evening, to the last color on the peaks at day’s end in playful soft pastel.
 Jan 3 = Night Sky Photographer Aaron Watson at the Rumors Cafe and Tea House. 6:30p.m.-Acclaimed night sky photographer and dark sky protector Aaron Watson will give a tutorial and explore upcoming astronomical events from his new 13 Moon Colorado Astro Events Calendar for 2024 at Rumors Coffee and Tea House / Townie Books on Wednesday, January 3rd @ 6:30 PM.
Aaron will talk about how to use the calendar and will go over some of the coming year's most exciting astronomical events. You don't need to own or buy a calendar to attend, though they will be available for purchase.
Jan 5 = School Break Art Camp - Trailhead Children's Museum-Join the Trailhead for full day Art Camps during all school breaks! Each day will bring new inspiration, exploration, and creation through different art mediums.
Jan 5 = First Friday Family Film - 6:30-9:00 p.m. Crested Butte Library-Join us on the First Friday of Every Month for free Kids Movie at the Crested Butte Library! We encourage you to bring pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, or whatever you need to make yourselves comfortable, to watch a movie upstairs at the library, “sleepover style.” EVERYONE is invited; children must be 9 years old to attend without an adult. 504 Maroon Ave.
 Jan 12 = Public House Presents - Dead Phish Orchestra-Join us for an epic night of all your favorite Grateful Dead and Phish tunes, melded into one!! 202 Elk Ave.
The Deadphish Orchestra is a quartet of Colorado musicians who, above all, are close friends who have played together for many years. They had played Grateful Dead songs together, and they had played Phish songs together. But they got to wondering what would happen if they tried to merge the music of these two bands, the Granddaddies and Daddies of the jamband scene.

Winners of the 2023 band contests at Both the 50th Annual Telluride Bluegrass and the 51st Annual Rockygrass Festivals, The Fretliners are a powerhouse progressive bluegrass quartet born around a single microphone in a barn in the Rocky Mountains. Influenced by a multitude of genres and steeped in that High & Lonesome sound, the band carves through the bluegrass landscape leaving new pathways and possibilities in their wake.
Jan 13/20 = Pinnacle Orthopedics Community Race Series-The CB Nordic and Pinnacle Orthopedics Community Races are a fun way to get outside, get some exercise, meet new people, and challenge yourself. Each week is a different format with races ranging from 5K to 15K – and a 3k kids’ race. Accumulate points for each race you complete. The skier with the most points at the end will be crowned the series champion.
 Jan 18 = Colorado Symphony Chamber Concert -Eight string players from the Colorado Symphony present an intimate evening of chamber music by a variety of classical and modern composers.
