Art Song Colorado presents Cowboy Songs, a new musical experience, taking classic Western songs to tell an original story inspired by Western films. With new song arrangements by Denver composer, Cherise Leiter, and classic arrangements by Oscar Fox, experience a classical music cowboy show unlike any other!

August - Crested Butte Clay Studio - with a delightful studio and wonderful teachers, check out their multiple offerings for kids and adults and go in to have some fun!

Each person who travels to our center — whether it is from just down the road or from thousands of miles away — deserves to attend the best outdoor recreation program possible. Our programs are customized for each individual. We use state-of-the-art adaptive equipment and professional instructors to create a high-quality, therapeutic experience.

Every summer we come together for two days with one purpose: To raise money so that people with disabilities and their families can experience the life-changing effects of our program.

Alpenglow is the Center for the Arts free outdoor concert series on Monday evenings during the summer. With Crested Butte Mountain and Paradise Divide as the backdrop, come enjoy the sounds of a variety of music. Bring along your chairs, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Join friends and family as we enjoy the best that summer in Crested Butte has to offer. Please leave your pets at home.

Aug. 17 = Southpenglow: Steely Dead w. Drew & Eli Emmitt- 5-7:30 p.m.Steely Dead’s repertoire is a carefully crafted fusion of Grateful Dead and Steely Dan songs, combining the arrangement and precision studio recordings of rock legends Steely Dan with the Grateful Dead’s free-flowing melodic improvisation and masterful song segues. CB South Red Mountain Park

Aug. 20: Cook book club-The Italian Summer Kitchen: Timeless Recipes for La Dolce Vita-Bring a little dolce vita to Crested Butte with a community potluck inspired by The Italian Summer Kitchen by Cathy Whims and Kate Lewis! Think sun-ripened flavors, fresh herbs, and recipes made for lingering over the last of our long summer evenings. Grab a copy at Townie Books or borrow ours, sign up for a dish, and bring your Italian-inspired creation to share. We’ll set the table, pour the wine, and soak up a taste of summer together.

Aug. 20-22 = Bodhi and the Rainforest-Local artist and creative Suzanne Pierson, in partnership with The Center, brings Bodhi and the Rainforest to the Steddy Theater this August! Written and composed by Suzanne, Bodhi and the Rainforest is an environmental children’s musical telling the adventures of a reluctant caterpillar who embarks on a journey to help restore a disappearing rainforest. Along the way, the caterpillar encounters colorful creatures, overcomes challenges, and discovers an inner strength that leads to a remarkable transformation. Featuring music, dance, vibrant characters, and a cast of local young performers, this uplifting production celebrates courage, growth, and the importance of caring for the natural world.

We encourage the audience to wear rainforest creature costumes. Come early with phones for a photoshoot in front of our rainforest setting and visit our merchandise table. Spontaneous dancing for rain in the Grace Atrium is welcome! tickets:
