March 6,7,13,14,17,20,21 (live music)- Dinner at the Yurt Gourmet Backcountry Dining! Convene at 5 at the Nordic Center! 6-11 p.m. When the full moon rises, the Magic Meadows turn into a luminescent wonderland, with our back-country yurt nestled right in the middle. There, you can enjoy one of our gourmet yurt dinners; a five course meal in a spectacular setting. 5 p.m. – Convene at the Crested Butte Nordic Center- come at 4:30 if you need to be fitted with gear!

March 7 - Sleds & Kegs After Party with: Twan · Monty Kiddo · Slippin Jimmy · Sweater Disco · Samaro-Sleds & Kegs weekend goes late. If you’ve been out on the hill (or in the mix all weekend), this is the move: a proper Saturday-night sendoff with a stacked DJ rotation, big energy, and that Public House intimacy we all love. Sleds & Kegs is built “for the locals, by the locals,” raising money for Gunnison Valley nonprofits—so showing up is part of the fun.

March 13-14 = Survival Fest at the Center for the Arts is the winter festival you didn’t know you needed, equal parts brain food, body heat, and pure community chaos. Learn quirky skills, hear big ideas, jump into DIY art, snack your way through the weekend, and dance like you’re preparing for the end times. Sweat it out at the Fire + Ice Beach Party (yes, there’s a sauna in the snow), then gear up for the Apocalypse Roadshow, a Saturday-night mashup of comedy, creativity, and barely-controlled madness. Winter has never been this ridiculous or this fun.

March 13 =Felix Cartal- Public House-8 pm doors open - show at 9 p.m.-Felix Cartal brings his signature blend of melodic, high-energy dance music to the Public House stage for a full-night party in one of Colorado’s most intimate rooms. Expect a set that moves fast, hits hard, and still leaves space for those big, emotional hooks that make his productions feel massive—whether you’re locked in up front or catching the wave from the back of the room. A prolific producer and DJ from British Columbia, Felix Cartal (Taelor Deitcher) has built a deep catalog across house/electronic, with collaborations, remixes, and originals that have kept him a staple in the scene for years. If you’ve been following his more recent era, you’ll recognize material from i, sabotage and the releases surrounding it—music built for late nights, big systems, and hands-in-the-air moments. 202 Elk Ave.
March 14 - The Apocalypse Roadshow: Surviving AI A comedy show about our future with technology- Center for the Arts. Hosted by comedian Shane Mauss and Athena Aktipis (featuring comedy, science & music).Surviving AI is a comedy show that blends humor with thoughtful exploration of how humans relate to artificial intelligence and how we might build a more cooperative technological future. The evening begins with a stand-up comedy set, moves into a salon-style conversation with experts on AI and cooperation, and culminates in a live improvisational “battle” between a human artist and an AI, responding to each other in real time. Throughout the show, an LED screen displays dynamic visuals generated through human–AI collaboration, created live by AI artist Michael Strauss, inviting the audience to reflect on creativity, agency, and collaboration in an age of intelligent machines.
March 17 = Apres Jazz- Daniel Bennett Group- Center for the Arts-5-6:30 p.m. -New York saxophonist Daniel Bennett has been hailed as one of the most original and unpredictable musical voices of his generation. The Boston Globe described Bennett’s music as, “a mix of Jazz, Folk and Minimalism.” The Daniel Bennett Group is celebrating the release of their 10th studio album, ‘Mr. Bennett’s Mind.’ Timeout New York called the music, “hypnotic!” Daniel Bennett is joined by master percussionist Koko Bermejo on drums and keyboard. Rounding out the trio is acclaimed electric bassist Jeff Dingler.

March 19 - Center for the Arts - DJ Williams Band--D.J. Williams is an acclaimed guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer based in Denver, CO whose illustrious career has seen him traverse the globe, igniting stages ranging from intimate clubs to renowned festivals with his band’s fiery performances. Described by Premier Guitar as “… a monster… an inventive, effective, and ear-catching soloist, armed with a warm tone and superior chops,” Williams has unleashed his next creative achievement: new album “Gravity & Grace” on his own label Projekt Music Group and is hitting the road! 8 p.m.
March 20,21 - Banff Film Festival - Center for the Arts - Crested Butte Search and Rescue hosts two nights of adventure and mountain culture films presented by the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour. This is Crested Butte Search and Rescue’s 33rd consecutive annual showing and one of our team’s main fundraising events. Please join us March 20 and 21 for two nights of different mountain films that will awe and inspire your sense of adventure. $25

March 28 -parkbreezy + TF Marz — Live at Public House- 9 to midnight -Two of the all:Lo Collective’s most forward-thinking producers hit Crested Butte for a night of deep bass, swingy hip-hop pocket, and soul-soaked sound design—equal parts head-nod and full-body dance floor. parkbreezy (Parker Williams) blends downtempo electronic, hip-hop, R&B, soul, jazz, and bass music into melodic, emotionally-driven sets built for the long ride.
ask about scheduling = Historic Pub Crawls Crested Butte Museum - Our historic pub crawls are among some of our patrons favorite events. Each pub crawl usually features 2-3 different drinking establishments or historic buildings in The Gunnison Valley. The tour lasts about 2 hours and includes a drink at each location, and stories and history from local historians at each location. Commemorative pub mugs are available for purchase with your ticket. Space is limited, and our crawls are only offered a few times a year, so make sure to get tickets before it sells out. This event is 21 and up, we will ask for proof of identification before the start of the event.
