Sept. 5 = Grand Traverse Run and Bike- The Summer Grand Traverse presented by Crested Butte Nordic includes a trail run from Mt. Crested Butte to Aspen and a mountain bike race from Aspen to Mt. Crested Butte.

Sept. 5 = Paragon Art Gallery People's Fair- The Paragon People’s Fair is a non-juried arts and crafts festival that helps regional Colorado artist showcase their artwork. It is a two-day event held down the middle of Elk Avenue on Labor Day weekend.Featuring live music, food venders, an adjacent Farmers market on Sunday as well as many fine restaurants along Elk Avenue. Also expect sidewalk sales held by the local stores, Nature’s Educators birds of prey and reptiles, a dog show hosted by Oh Be Dogful Rescue, and tons of fun to be had in the mountain sunshine. Come join the festivities and a community truly invested in enjoying the little things in life.

Sept. 9, 16, 23- Yoga in the Garden - join the town of Mt. Cb for an hour of free yoga with instructors from the CB Yoga Co-op. 12-1 p.m.

Sept. 11 - Friends of Friends: Reception- Sept. 9, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Friends of Friends Exhibition | September 11 – October 23
Art openings are better with friends! Join us for the opening celebration of Friends of Friends—an evening filled with local art, live demonstrations, interactive experiences, music, and creative surprises around every corner. Meet the artists, explore fresh work from regional makers, shop local, and enjoy a lively atmosphere designed for conversation, connection, and discovery.
The evening will also debut a limited-edition exhibition print and artist-produced zine, with workshops, talks, and other opportunities to connect with the exhibition throughout its run.
Music, local vendors, and more surprises will be announced soon!

Sept 11-13 - Adaptive Center Mountain Biking Championships-The Adaptive Mountain Biking World Championship seeks to create a competitive environment for all adaptive mountain bikers across a wide variety of riding styles and equipment selections. Hosted on Crested Butte Mountain Resort, the race weekend highlights some of the area’s riding with trails that will challenge even the most experienced riders.Each stage tests a different set of skills, from climbing prowess to cross country loops to technical descending and climbing. Each day of racing provides riders with the opportunity to meet new people and grow their riding community with riders from across the country. Racers must provide their own equipment in good working order and be able to ride intermediate and advanced trails.

Sept. 12- Fall Festival of Beers & Chili Cook-Off, - Noon to 4 p.m. Mt. Crested Butte a BIG FAVORITE! The 26th Annual Mt. Crested Butte Chili and Beer Fest! at the base of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Sample locally made chilis, sip some of Colorado's finest craft beer... and some great bands. This is a great day.

Sept. 12 – at 7:00 p.m. -CO West Ballet Presents The Firebird & Original Modern Works
For one night only, Colorado West Ballet will present a two-act evening featuring both traditional story ballet and contemporary ballet.
Firebird is a one act ballet composed by Igor Stravinsky. The ballet tells the story of Prince Ivan, who captures the magical Firebird but chooses to spare her life. In return, she helps him defeat the evil sorcerer Kastchei and free the captive princesses.

September 13 = Bridges of the Butte---September 13 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm-Support the Adaptive Sports Center’s mission to provide affordable lessons, top-tier equipment, and expert instruction across a wide range of adaptive disciplines. Join us for our 4-hour Townie Tour and see how much cycling (and fundraising!) you can complete, riding a route that loops across all of the town’s iconic bridges. Stick around for the post-event celebration--featuring music, food, drinks, and prizes!

Sept. 15 - Fall Folk LVDY: Free live music as the aspens start turning. LVDY, pronounced lady, is the Colorado duo of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable, working in indie folk and singer-songwriter territory with soaring harmonies and organic instrumentation.Part of Fall Folk, the Center’s free autumn concert series. Doors and music from 5:30 PM.

Sept. 17 – 6 p.m.- Cookbook Club: What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking
Settle in for a cozy community potluck inspired by What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking: Make it Fast(opens in new tab) by Caroline Chambers! Designed for busy weeknights and low-energy days, this cookbook is packed with clever shortcuts, flexible recipes, and practical techniques that make getting dinner on the table feel effortless. Sept 19,20 = Artumn Festival and Vinotok - Lovers of fine arts and crafts will find a vast array of artisans and crafters displaying and selling their unique creations in pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home décor, furniture, home accessories, and photography. The annual celebration of the Fall Solstice, will introduce new and emerging artists showcasing the latest trends in handmade crafts and fine art.  This event is located in the heart of Beautiful Downtown Crested Butte on the west side of Elk Avenue.  The show is happening on a very busy weekend as it is the height of the Autumn Fall colors and simultaneous to the popular farmers market and also the Vinotok Fall Harvest Festival.

Sept. 25 – 5-8 p.m. -Summer Artwalk Evenings-Leisurely stroll through the galleries of Crested Butte, experience the diverse artistic expressions of local artists, and be inspired by these special ArtWalk evenings. This is a self-guided tour of the galleries in downtown Crested Butte hosted by Artists of Crested Butte. Galleries involved have an ‘ArtWalk’ flag outside their door.
